Running sandbox - multiple equivalent requests firing for the backend

Describe the Bug

When running the sandbox app - there seems to be much more traffic going to the backend, compared with the standalone app.

There e.g. are 3 same POST requests fired in case the step is deleted in the sandbox app, compared to single POST request when running the standalone app.

Steps to Reproduce the Bug or Issue

1. run the sandbox app
2. run the standalone app
3. compare the backend invocations in both cases
