Thermostat used for heat pump

Is it possible to use the better Thermostat interface to control a Midea unit through its integration with Home Assistant? Has anyone already done this?

If you have a climate entity, then yes it's possible. I've not done it but I'm controlling my gas boiler with a BT instance and some automations.

And what I thought, yes I have a climate entity, but the strange thing is that it doesn't give me the hot / cold selection which is the minimum it only gives me the heat, I'll do some further research and post the results

cold option is not yet implemented to my knowledge. just heat.
