OpenGWAS Ontology mapping project
Ontology mapping can be approached with different attitudes. The approach we would like to take for OpenGWAS is one in which there is a strict correspondence between the reported trait, and the mapped ontology. In some instances the reported trait will not have a strict ontology available.
Each trait has been assigned three potential ontology terms through an automated mapping system. The automated mapping system is not perfect, and we need to manually validate each of these terms.
