Web search is a key tool that makes the Web usable. Maps and location information should be searchable in an appropriate way.

Web pages that contain maps are implicitly located by the depicted location and zoom that they are centered on.

Features usually have a defined location / geometry.

Non-visual and other users could benefit from a search feed that is driven at least in part by (their) location. The feed could be composed of features, or map-located pages that are ordered by "relevance", which would in part be determined by location and scale/zoom.
