MediaInof 23.04

New issue detected with HDR data format for HDR10+ content, because we no longer get what we need. The new Mediainfo no longer returns the information:
'HDR_Format_Compatibility': 'HDR10+ Profile B'

In this case, can you explain this difference to us? Is it possible to correct it, or is it an intentional change? If it is intentional, what is it based on?

Best regards

Tested on our files and it is still there:

Format : HEVC
Format/Info : High Efficiency Video Coding
Format profile : Main [email protected]@High
HDR format : SMPTE ST 2094 App 4, Version 1, HDR10+ Profile B compatible

Please share a sample file demonstrating the issue.

In your file, the SMPTE ST 2094 App 4 profile is compatible with HDR10+ Profile B but colour primaries and transfer characteristics are not (they are both BT.709 instead of BT.2020 & PQ) + no mastering display color primaries, which are mandatory for HDR10+ so we decided to remove this tip because feedback from users was that it was misleading, they were thinking that the file is compatible with HDR10+.

Isn't a bug in your file that the color info is not the one for HDR10+?

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. Could you please provide us with the official documentation regarding your comment, and if possible, not from Wikipedia.
We are ready to open a bug report on our end and make the correction, but for that, we need the official reference of the documentation you are relying on.

Thank you very much.

Register (it is free) at https://hdr10plus.org/ and you get the spec.
"HDR10+ Technical Specification |Part 1: Metadata and Devices" PDF, "2.2 HDR10+ Content" chapter.
I copy/paste one line:
"Metadata (Required): Mastering Display Color Volume Metadata"

and if possible, not from Wikipedia.

Note that Wikipedia has more or less a copy/paste of this chapter.
