Prerequisites and Pre-Issue Checklist

  • I'm reporting the issue to the correct repository:

  • MegaMek

  • MegaMekLab

  • MekHQ

  • I've tested the issue against at least the latest MILESTONE version

  • I've asked on the MegaMek Discord about the error

  • I've reviewed the BattleTech rules and MegaMekLab documentation, and I've confirmed that something isn't working as intended.

  • I've searched the Github tracker and haven't found the issue listed

Severity *

Medium (Gameplay Limitation): Non-core functionality is impaired, providing a suboptimal but playable experience.

Brief Description *

According to XTRO: Pirates page 7 the VTR-9K2 Victor St. James has patchwork armor with standard armor everywhere except arms/legs which have ferro-fibrous armor. The record sheet in the same publication at the back indeed puts 2 slots of ferro-fibrous in the arms/legs which is in compliance with the rules for patchwork armor in TO:AUE page 189 where IS Ferro-Fibrous should have 2 slots in each location.

However currently in megameklab the VTR-9K2 Victor St. James is listed as having light ferro fibrous armor everywhere although it does have the correct number of armor points in each location. Complicating matters is that apparently the original CGL design made an error in patchwork armor math or something and according to https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,17419.0.html post on the forums it is an illegal design as it allocates too many points of armor. To date there doesn't appear to be any errata for this.
