App reset when taking photo on iOS

Using v2024.4.1 on an iPhone with iOS 17.7, I noticed that whenever I taken a picture with the default app and I switch to mergin, it behaves as if I had just opened the app.

Meaning the current project is reloaded and all the layer, the positiong are all reset to their default and no saved field value are available. In setting with limited connectivity this greatly slows down things when a photo needs to be taken.

I am not sure if this issue is due to something on the iOS app handling rather than Mergin, but I raised the ticket even if the issue is upstream..

ticket has been made, the issue is temporarily fixed for me, it seems like an inconsistent bug. Not sure if it's worth keeping this public issue open.
