All events are listed but there doesn't seem to be a way to search for events, either by location or date range. In other words, I can't search for events in say, 'Toronto' nor can I search for upcoming events.

you're referring to the events page at http://www.missingmaps.org/events/ ?
currently it only shows events in the future (which right now is ~15 events)
map shows the global distribution of all events.

can you provide some more details about your ask?
you'd like to be able to pull up details about past events?
you'd like to be able to filter the current list of events?

hey @danbjoseph Filter the list of current events by location. Don't care about past stuff, but maybe someone does. I simply want to filter the list by events near me.

Is the map clickable? Couldn't get it to return any event info.

Thanks, Dan

map isn't clickable, it's just a heatmap of sorts

filtering might be hard. you can see the fields being collected at https://github.com/MissingMaps/events/blob/master/events.csv

place_name could be a full admin hierarchy like Nomade, Bordeaux, France or it could be something like The Project Cafe

could potentially do something like quickly calculating the distance from your provided location to each current event's lat/lng using turf.js and using that somehow

looks like getting the geolocation of the user automatically would require missingmaps to be https

hm. I see. the .csv will serve my purposes in the short run. in the longer run, you think this is something that should be a feature request?

could be an interesting feature to add for sure
