App: Allow verifying QR codes without entering location information #17
Comments
I am not affiliated with MOH. But to answer your question this functionality does exist in the Ramzor App. The UI is a bit counter-intuitive but on the main app screen on the bottom right there is a QR code round button that you can click to scan certifcates. I also had an issue finding this at first because what I thought was the main app screen wasn't actually the main screen. You must select your location in order to get to the real main app screen. I'm guessing their reasoning was to show you the Ramzor status of your location but they completely disregarded mistrusting people not wanting to give away their location. |
@matangg Thanks! That's a very odd UI choice. I updated the description accordingly. |
I would ask talk with https://github.com/yuvadm/greenpass about this (it's not a official implementation, but would be useful). |
@kaplanlior Sorry, I don't see why. This is a usability issue with the official Ramzor app, that can only be addressed by the app developers. |
The official guides all say that the app can scan and verify vaccination QR codes.
However, I could not find this functionality anywhere. I assumed I need to sign up as a business first, but as mentioned in the reply, I had to choose my location.
The app should be less confusing in that regard.
Also, you'd probably want to change the wording of the post-scan screen to strongly require the user to verify the ID of the green pass holder, and warn that the green pass by itself is not enough.
