Describe the bug

My Mac immediately shows a green rectangle and reboots when trying to launch any game while connected to an external display in mirror or extension mode.

How to reproduce

  1. Try to launch game
  2. Wait for green screen
  3. Reboot

woah, never seen this to do with mythic before

basically it seems like this is either a firmware bug, or worst case scenario this seems like your mac's hardware might be bad. if this problem persists, you should get in touch with apple.

can you try opening a game without any other app open at all? including background tasks?

I tried it with no background processes and I believe it may be a resolution issue.

It seems to work if I reinstall the game, which resets the graphics and resolution settings, it works flawlessly. also this mac is brand new (less than a month old) so it shouldn't be a hardware issue

I am wondering if it's a display detection issue or just my monitor bugging out?

one of the two, or perhaps a combination of both
but the green is really weird and isn't normal behaviour for any mac.
