Run MDTF for CM5DT through FRE 2025 workflow

Users would like to run MDTF automatically through the proto-CM5DT end-to-end FRE 2025 workflow.

Describe the solution you'd like
Run the proto CM5DT FRE 2025 postprocessing on a set of CM5 history files and have MDTF run as part of the analysis scripts.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Run MDTF as a separate step outside of the automated FRE workflow.

• run example notebook with example pod (surface temperature) (M)
• Create a data catalog from the sample input netcdf files, and run the same POD using the catalog as the input (M)
• Create a data catalog from a CM5 postprocessed experiment, and run the same POD using the catalog as the input; and document the output location and files (D)
• Write a legacy fre analysis script to run the POD subsets using the automatically-generated data catalog as input (D)
• Create a list of PODs (at least 2) require input data available in CM5DT experiment (D). Asking John and Jacob is OK here.
• Run the POD subset using data catalog as input (M)
• Successful end-to-end production run using frerun and FRE 2025 (M)
• Open merge request to CM5DT xml repository with the MDTF analysis script (D)

Unless you use an old version of the MDTF, today's framework requires the catalog, so items such as the following may not be feasible.

• Run one MDTF POD using sample Netcdf files as input (M)
• Run one POD using CM5 postprocessed output using netcdf files as input (M)
