fetcher cache sqlite error: table Cache has no column named domain

I ran into this issue since upgrading from 2.20 to 2.23.1.

Error:

       error: creating statement 'insert or replace into Cache(domain, key, value, timestamp) values (?, ?, ?, ?)': SQL logic error, table Cache has no column named domain (in '/root/.cache/nix/fetcher-cache-v2.sqlite')

deleting {root,$HOME}/.cache/nix fixes the issue

Unfortunately something went wrong with the notes (previous comment), but iirc, we were unable to reproduce this, and we suspect that it may be related to running a development version; either an intermediate unreleased revision, or perhaps a branch like #6530.

As the issue is not actionable, I'll close it for now.

I just ran in to this when bumping nix-darwin nixpkgs version in a flake:

    nixpkgs.url = "github:NixOS/nixpkgs/nixpkgs-24.05-darwin";
    #nixpkgs.url = "github:nixos/nixpkgs/nixpkgs-23.11-darwin";

error: creating statement 'insert or replace into Cache(domain, key, value, timestamp) values (?, ?, ?, ?)': SQL logic error, table Cache has no column named domain (in '/Users/lambert/.cache/nix/fetcher-cache-v2.sqlite')

removing: /Users/myusername/.cache/nix/fetcher-cache-v2.sqlite then meant the rebuild nix run nix-darwin -- switch --flake .#Enrico [0.0 MiB DL] just hanged.

Most nix functionality was broken at this stage (i.e. launching dev shells rebuilding nix-darwin etc.) Ended up doing a full reinstall of nix.
