Hi @matthiasdusch , I hope you are doing well!

I am having issues with the COPDEM30 mapping file in here: https://github.com/OGGM/oggm-sample-data/tree/master/dem_sources/CopernicusDEM

Concretely, a few tiles are missing at weird places (e.g. N44, E006, middle in the Alps). Copernicus support is very slow in responding.

Do you remember where you got these files from? I cant find them on the ftp server, which is weird. Happy to forward you the discussion with support if you want.

Hi @fmaussion and sorry for the late response. Did not check that mail account...

I do not have the communication with Copernicus anymore since it was on my uni mail account which got deactivated...
But from a quick glance at the Copernicus FTP server: The mapping files should be in /DEM-Datasets while the actual tiles are in /datasets
I am not entirely sure which file I used. There seem to be files for the entire DEM but also subsets.

I have also seen that there is a new version of the DEM (2022_1 instead of 2021_1 which OGGM uses)

Let me know if that helps. If not I can take a more thorough look and fix the issue. But it will take a couple of days.

Thats what I was missing. When I checked I had the feeling this did not match, but I might have overseen something.

Let me check again and get back to you - thanks!
