Helper Symbols

I am playing around with the ISOM 2017-2 symbol set in regard to bring the minimum requirements more obvious into the map drawing process. Most of the objects with relatively short minimum length are easy to modify accordingly.
For example the 201 Impassable cliff can be equipped with a. minimum graphical gap, b. minimum gap for passage and c. minimum length.

Everything colored with "halo white" from the bottom of the color table. These are thus only visible as long as the object is selected.

Now for the longer features the straight minimum length is not longer of use. To get an indication of the accordance to a minimum length you can create a combined symbol consisting of the original symbol plus a transparent line symbol showing its mid symbol just as the minimum length of the original symbol is reached.

Both rides drawn with combined symbol. The southern ride would be to short.

I made three/four observations on that trail.

1. For the combined symbol, if one of the original symbols is hidden it is not hidden in the combined symbol. Also the helper status is lost. Helper parts of combined symbols thus end up at the final map.
2. There is no mode to only see the map without helper symbol. This would be useful to check the final map before exporting.
3. For the mid-symbols there is no option to use the values "Distance between spots" and "Distance from line end" strictly. Mid-symbols appear before these defined values are reached.

These are somehow points, that limit the use of the helper symbol functionality as its usefulness for aspects of the maps legibility.
