I have dyalog 17 etc. I have set the executable path. I did not set a server since the description said one was embedded (so I assume it knows where that is).

There appears no means to run the apl code in VSCODE despite the embedded server and the dyalog exe setup.

Have you examples of running code? Are there tricks to setting up you have not included?

Previously to attempting this VSCODE integration I have been running from the Dyalog IDE directly and also running via jupyter.

Cheers,
B

No you cannot currently run APL code from VSCode directly. I believe there have been discussions and perhaps even a prototype for making an interface to the common language protocol (or something like this) but I'm not sure where that got to.

I've just found something from Tiamatica which seems to be for dyalogscript .apls files: https://github.com/tiamatica/vscode-apl-debug
