BGT tiles #3
Comments
@Diaaz sorry late reaction but this is something that is discussed at the moment. At the moment I can't say what will happen and when. A bit vague but I wouldn't expect anything the next few months anyway.. |
@jeroenPDOK thanks for your response. Can you publish a how-to guide, so we can generate the tiles ourselves for the time being? |
@Diaaz we already did, see https://github.com/PDOK/vectortiles-bgt-brt |
@jeroenPDOK I cannot find any information about how to generate tiles of a specific area. Are the tiles generated from public data-endpoints? |
@emacgillavry perhaps you can give some more details? |
@Diaaz we created the vector tiles from BRT and BGT data (see https://github.com/PDOK/vectortiles-bgt-brt#source-data-per-zoom-level).
We're happy to help you out should you require a production setup for vector tiles! |
@emacgillavry Thanks for the details. Do you know if it's possible to generate RD tiles? |
According to the MVT standard, tiles don't know about projections. Hence,
support for RD should be ok.
Possibly fake PostGIS by setting the projection using ST_SetSRID to 3857,
while maintaining the coordinates in RD. Caveat emptor: haven't actually
tested this.

It looks like the BGT-tiles are available for Amsterdam only. When will the rest of the Netherlands be published?
