Test Scripts

Since it's not possible to test this block on a dev server (can't provide a panopto instance id other than the live one) I find we have to deploy this plugin without being able to test any updates.
It would comfort me a great deal if some test scripts could be included that can spoof API calls so that we can check the Moodle part of the functionality still works with whichever version of Moodle we're on.

Maybe Panopto can create a test installation of Panopto? That would probably avoid inconsistencies in the spoofed API behavior.

Thank you very much for the feedback on testing the Moodle plugins.

We do run a full set of tests against each Moodle plugin before every release, but understand that each Moodle environment is different and that it can be important for users to have a way to test the plugins in their own specific environments.

I don't have any easy solutions available immediately, but I'll file an internal work item to investigate and see what options we can come up with in order to allow you to test our Moodle plugins against your specific environments without needing to connect them to a live Panopto server.
