PrimeSwift/Dockerfile fail to build

PrimeSwift Dockerfile fails to build with the following output in Docker Desktop:

[internal] load build definition from Dockerfile
	transferring 424/0 0.002
[internal] load metadata for docker.io/library/swift:5.4.2

And present the following Error message:
swift:5.4.2: failed to resolve source metadata for docker.io/library/swift:5.4.2: no match for platform in manifest: not found

@EdisonTheFox I can't repro this, I will include build output from my machine below. I will therefore convert this issue to a Q&A discussion.

Note that all solutions in this repository are targeting the Linux platform. Are you maybe trying to build the solution on another platform, like Windows?

I'm trying to run these on my M4 Pro Mac mini. I do not have a Linux or Windows Machine available for testing

That's an ARM machine. The 5.4.2 version of the Swift image is linux/amd64 only; linux/arm64 support was added in image version 5.8.

You can try updating the Dockerfile to pull in swift:5.8.1 (or a higher version) instead, to see if that works in terms of building and running the Swift solution. I can't test that myself because I have no Apple hardware available to me.

If it indeed works, you could open a PR to propose applying the change to the main tree here.

I just did a local build on linux/amd64 (Windows 11 WSL2 to be precise) with the swift:5.10.1-noble image, and that works. As I still can't confirm if the linux/arm64 version of the base image works for you, you'd still have to establish that yourself.
