While connecting, if an error occurs, a message is shown, but the connection is never canceled.

Ideally, if the connection fails, the application should cancel the connection, instead, I need to click cancel manually after the error message.

The app is still connecting.

This message appears because there's a timeout setting up the kill switch. On openSUSE, polkit is very strict and asks for the root password if someone wants to change the network, but the timeout is too short for anyone to type the password, resulting in a timeout exception.
