Failed to Load Notebook

I followed the steps outlined in https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/analytics/r-notebooks-in-arcgis-pro-for-spatial-data-science/, but now that I'm using the custom environment with "r-arcgis-essentials" package, I am no longer able to open notebooks in Pro or Jupyter Notebook. New to R and was hoping to experiment with it through ArcGIS Pro and its conda package manager.

In Pro I receive the error "Failed to load notebook" and in Jupyter Notebook I receive the error "500:Internal Server Error".

Would you be able to try and add the pro-notebook-hotfix package to your environment? The Pro 3.1 release upgraded a number of Notebook packages, and unfortunately some of these turned out to be incompatible with Pro 3.0 and earlier and not accounted for in the solver. There are further details in the Notebook FAQ.
