Install Instructions
- Install Qt on your phone (if it’s not already installed) – for this step follow one of the descriptions below. It is recommended to install the latest version of Qt
- Download the .sis package – just go to http://github.com/Raven24/FCalendar and click “Downloads”
- Install the package on your phone -
Visit http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Nokia_Smart_Installer_for_Symbian and get the latest Qt Version for your mobile phone from there.
Just visit the phonedemos site with your mobile phone and install the qt_demos.sis. This will automatically install all the required packages.
NOTE: Make sure that you remove any previous Qt versions from your phone, otherwise the installation will fail!
In order to install the .sis package on your mobile phone, you need the Qt libs and (if your phone doesn’t have it) the Open C++ libs, too. You can get them from the nokia site (under "Demos for your S60) which will install Qt 4.5 “tower” on your cell. If you like you can also install the fluidlauncher demo package, to see what else is possible with Qt on a mobile phone.
Having done that you can get the latest .sis package of FCalendar from here (“Download”, The FCalendar versions are labeled according to the Qt version they require and are tested with) and install that on your phone. You can either copy the file via Bluetooth or use the USB cable and the Nokia Suite or you put it on the memory card with a card reader. You can install it by simply opening the .sis file with the phone’s file manager.
By starting the program for the first time you will see the configuration dialogue where you can enter the location of your ical file. After you hit the save button it should ask you to select your preferred internet connection. After downloading the calendar you will be able to see all your events.
