By this I mean random monsters with names between less-than/more-than signs and brackets. Random monsters with names between brackets are very common in ambushes during etherwind but I couldn't spawn any after many tries (they spawn in normally in non-Cusotm and Custom 1.76fix). Random monsters with names between less-than/more-than signs can be found occasionally basically anywhere, but I'm fairly certain I haven't seen any except in pet arena, although there might be a minimum number of matches required before they start appearing there. Those upgraded monsters no longer appear in regular arena, though (since 1.93).

Hmm, I just found one dark kobold with name between less/more-than signs. I think that might have been the first I found outside of pet arena. Between main quest dungeons, random dungeons, hunting and whatnot I'm pretty sure should have found way more upgraded monsters by now.

Hmmmmm, I was testing something which involved me setting the level of an unexplored awakened dungeon to 300, then using the yellow gem of twilight thingy to multiply its level by 1.5 and I saw an extra rare god monster (an atlas) with name between less/more-than signs on the first floor. I only noticed it because it started breaking walls to reach me.

So maybe I'm just retarded and these monsters with names between less/more-than signs have been spawning around me all along and I didn't notice until now because I'm playing on overdose and only now that I've reached Lost Irva and can awaken dungeons are the monsters actually capable of doing things instead of being steamrolled completely. Or maybe that happened because I edited the dungeon's level with cheat engine.

On the other hand, the main reason I opened this issue was the very conspicuous absence of monsters with names between brackets during etherwind, which I'm near 100% confident is happening and is a Custom bug of some sort. I only started thinking about not having encountered monsters with names between less/more-than signs after noticing the aforementioned bug, but since then I've found two of those outside the pet arena, so I don't know...
