When resuming playback of a TV DVR livestream from the mini player (after having closed the local player or stopped Google Cast playback, for example), the state is incorrect:

  • The player starts playback in at the beginning of the current program, not in live conditions.
  • No program information is displayed.

This is the same issue (but with more effects) as the glitch which can be seen when stopping and restarting an SRF TV livestream without DVR, and is related to the fact that the media kept by the mini player is the one of the current program.

There are workarounds (type on the live media cell or seek to the live), but this is clearly suboptimal.

Issue type

Incorrect behavior

Environment information

  • Application version: 3.0.0
  • iOS version: Any
  • Device: Physical (DRM stream involved).

Reproducibility

Always reproducible

Steps to reproduce

  1. Disable background playback in the settings.
  2. Play an RTS TV livestream and check there is a program on air.
  3. Close the player.
  4. Tap on the mini player. Playback stats at the beginning of the program and no program info is displayed.
