Would be nice to have examples of BI using these Jupyter notebooks. I know someone's working on this, but it hasn't seen an update for a while to this repo, so I'll just give my wishlist ;).

For example, I need to make a report over the activity of a particular instrument over 2019. This includes:

  • counting the number of running projects during 2019 (cannot indicate yet which ones have been completed, but hey... Would be interesting too to have a project status timeline or workflow tool implemented somewhere, but that could be somewhere else)
  • Showing the number of unique proposal PIs
  • Graphing the datasets collected over the months, histogramming datasets per project
  • Graphing the publications over the months (small numbers though these be..)
  • counting total measurement time by summing measurement time for the raw datasets.

Maybe I'll start making such a notebook, and share it here...

maybe voila panel or dash would be a useful starting point

I have started to create such a notebook a few weeks ago, but never found time to finish it up. The purpose is to have an interface for the users to easily get statistical information about their datasets, graphs, pivot tables etc. It does something along the line already, but is far from "production ready". I could put the notebook file in this repo nevertheless, if you think it could be useful. It is also using the voila server.
