Log screen "flickers" and filter input partially unresponsive

Bug description

Log screen flickers, both inside the filters pane on the left as well as the current filters text line at the top. See attached video for details.

Additionally, the checked state of the filters in the filters pane rarely switches based on click, although the flickering may just be interfering with the click processing.

Expected behavior

There should be no flickering and the checkbox state should immediately update on click

How to reproduce

1. Reproduction steps unclear, this was the case immediately after set-up and log ingestion
