add suport for hidden directories (least .obsidian)

hello
i needed to add some templates and i wanted it to be in hidden directory like .obsidian because it would be more elegant and i would know that it sorted. i think all plugins should use .obsidian directory. so can we please get that feature, it looks simple too.

people who want it

there is one dilution i found of people requesting this feature here, they have some solid points please check that out, but the main ones are:

1. To hide the Templates folder from the file tree.
2. convenience

There are serious downsides to storing templates in the .obsidian directory. The biggest being that Obsidian Sync does not sync that entire folder, it selectively syncs specific files/folders based on Sync settings. Moving templates to the .obsidian directory would prevent anyone who uses Obsidian Sync from being able to sync their templates across devices.

If the Obsidian team updates how Obsidian Sync syncs files then we can consider this feature, otherwise there is no way we can make this change in good faith.

I agree with Zachatoo.
More importantly, the .obsidian folder is not counted part of the vault and so APIs won't work on them.
Not only does sync not work, but also templater plugin itself won't be able to recognize templates if they are at .obsidian folder.

Tangentially related discussions:

• A different plugin called obsidian trash explorer that displays things in .trash also face this dilemma.
• Even trying to make dotfolders appear in the file manager is a pain and there are some side effects.

I've since accepted my fate and have renamed my templates folder Z.Templates so that they appear at the bottom.

thank you @Zachatoo and @welpdx for further explanation and I will be sharing welpdx's faith as many others did for now, as mush as that feature or something like that would be great I think I can do something that will work for me on my end.
