Obsidian includes color variables that are used for syntax highlighting and canvas nodes. These colors can also be modified by themes. By default the plugin should use these color variables so that the rendered colors automatically adapt to the user's theme.
@kepano I just released version 1.1.0 which includes the option to use the basic colors provided by obsidian (section "Base Colors").
Let me know if this is what you expected or if you would like access to the other colors that are available.
