Audio playback doesn't always work in Windows (even via button), or has a major delay first
Delay in playback even in Linux (with recent version of Python? Or with new ways of doing audio on Linux?)
Tab is captured by various text boxes instead of playing audio
PortAudio is no longer maintained?

One of two things needs to happen:

The issues with the current implementation need to be investigated and fixed. Initial tests suggest that the audio playback library we're using has delays on Linux even in MWE?
If it's not fixable, other options for audio playback should be investigated. They need to be able to sync packets with frames to be played.
