Could make installation much easier (pip install sirf) by precompiling for a range of OSs? See https://cibuildwheel.readthedocs.io

Definitely of interest, but probably no relevant expertise within the team...

@paskino plans to finish the conda support first. I'm assuming there'll be a lot of overlap.
