Welcome to the Vampirism wiki! This is a work in progress, so feel free to contact us about anything that seems inaccurate or incomplete.
This mod allows you to become a vampire in Minecraft.
See the Minecraft forum for more complete description: Here
This mod has a lot of configuration and balance options available. There are three different .config files: vampirism.cfg for general stuff (disable some features, change ids), vampirism_balance.cfg which contains A LOT of options to adjust the balancing of the mod and vampirism_village_biomes.cfg for the biome dependent villages. To change these you can either edit the config file directly or use the ingame mod options menu. For the latter click on "Mods" in the Minecraft main menu, then select "Vampirism" and press config. After changing something there, it is recommend to restart Minecraft to make sure that the changes are applied.
If you have any suggestions how to adjust the balance please tell us.
With every update the vampirism_balance.cfg is reset to allow us to bring changed balance settings to you. If you want to prevent that, change the "config_mod_version" in the vampirism.cfg to the new version number before starting the game
If your game crashes or something does not work, please follow these steps:
- Find the Minecraft log file If you use the standard Minecraft launcher, the interesting logfile is .minecraft/logs/fml-client-latest.txt. (How to find the .minecraft folder). In case you have a server, the interesting log file should be logs/fml-server-latest.txt. If you use another launcher, it might have a function to easily upload or locate log files.
- Make a post in the Minecraft Forum thread, describe the problem and either include the log within a spoiler or a Pastebin of it. Alternativly create an issue on Github, or if you can only speak German PM maxanier on the Minecraft Forum.
So far, this mod has been tested with NEI, Adventure Backpack, and Journey Map. We will update this list if users are interested, and maybe also start a list of incompatible mods.
