error when using vmware and packer 0.8.6: "Packer detected a VMware 'Unknown Error'." #4

I get the error:
Packer detected a VMware 'Unknown Error'.
when using packer-centos-6.json.
It seems to have to do with guest_os_type.
It is currently set to RedHat_64 but to get it to work I needed to set it to Centos-64.
I have not tested vbox or the cloud builders, but it is an issue for centos-6-vmware

Environment:

Mac OSX 10.10
VMWare Fusion 8.0.0
Packer 0.8.6

Any chance of documenting that somewhere, or updating the file.
