SNW is one of my favorite plugins and is indispensable to me but unfortunately it comes at a cost: terrible lag in Live Preview, which makes editing notes an unpleasant experience.
While smaller notes perform OK, the larger ones tend to be super laggy. The longer a note is, the more elements (lists, headings, links, callouts etc.) it has, and the more backlink counters, and the more notes I have open, the more laggy everything will be. This is especially evident when inputting text: there will be increased delay (sometimes a few seconds!) before the text I input appears in note.
After 'dividing and conquering' all the installed plugins, I have confirmed that SNW is the culprit: if I switch to Source view (where SNW counters are disabled) or disable SNW in Live Preview, this problem ceases.
A solution would be to disable SNW in Live Preview or use Source mode for editing, both of which are suboptimal because I primarily use Live Preview.
Now, if I disable all CSS snippets and switch to the default theme, it does get a little less laggy but it is still noticeable.
Really hope something gets done about this! 🙏
