Create a scratch folder for build artifacts called /home/$USER/scratch.
Note: this is the default location. To change the scratch folder path, modify the SCRATCH_ROOT variable in setup.bash.
To build the scalar unit, first source the environment variables and then run the build script:
source setup.bash
./su_build
