so basically some photos have right date after upload and some just dont? Many photos get 2 days old date. From what I see all photos are originally from: whatsapp, messenger, snapchat or downloaded from other source.

I need more details on what happened - screenshots of photos, their names, what terminal said etc etc etc

Here is an example of video originally from whatsapp. Same thing with snapchat, messenger and downloaded from other sources.

More, more, more. Concrete examples of which photos should have what dates, do they have corresponding json files, and what gpth said in the terminal while processing them

looking at the previous posters pictures and what I have seen running the program it looks like the program cant grab creation date from mp4 files and so guesses. This applies to any moving photo as well that are taken on ios if you turn off heif format. Interestingly it doesnt seem to apply to .mov files

are there absolutely no .json files in the Takeout?

did you de-select json metadata while requesting a takeout or something?

otherwise, gpth has absolutely no way of telling when this video took place 🤷
