Why depreciated?

I get that you depreciated it in favor of the tool Microsoft build (for their own Linux VM's). But do you might know of their solution can also be installed on other VM's not hosted in Azure?

Because that would be a great advantage you have over their solution.

Check out this project - https://github.com/CyberNinjas/pam_aad I think it does way better job than this implementation - it supports user creation, integration with OpenVPN and much more.
