I went through maint-1.9...master#files_bucket and confirmed that the breaking changes proposed for 2.0 haven't been made yet. Is anybody interested in a 1.10 release that would add some new features that will exist in Rasterio 1.4? I'm thinking specifically of Rasterio's python opener, which would help my coworkers work around lack of GDAL support for AWS IAM role chaining. Support for Numpy 2 would also be a natural fit for this release. I think #1327 would be, too.
