Euchre: Trump higher on 1st trick when going alone if possible #281

Euchre. Bot is going alone, but plays 2nd. Turns out he held RAKT, A.

Lead is next, and bot is void. Bot must play his K because a void in next is likely by other defender. If the L is protected, it doesn't matter. If it's not, the bot doesn't need RAK to take Q9.

Bot in 2nd chair goes alone, holding RLAKT. This player MUST use one of the K+ to trump the first trick because the T risks an overtrump from the Q. Fortunately, this didn't happen, but missing only 2 trump, it has to be played to guarantee taking all 5.
