We already have an attending event functionality for workshops where people can put appropriate code given to confirm their presence and get points. I think it is a great idea to automate that with icatcard, which is the system where you type your school id before the workshop starts on the host's laptop. So what would happen is that they could just join the even get their points like they normally would but also avoid them going to the host's laptop to type their school id.
Technicality-wise, I have tried accessing the iCatCard API, but it, unfortunately, didn't work since the system is authenticated with session cookies, so I think this can only be done using a browser library like a puppeteer to kind of web-scrap the website since the iCatCard website is made by React (SPA). If not, maybe we can ask who manages iCatCard to give us access, which I don't think would happen very easily.
Please write down any of your ideas.
