Good idea but the problem is that the UTLauncher.exe is not installable :) should it try to override its own exe?

You could have a helper app for updates.

So there are two exe, the main one and the helper.

Once downloaded, UTLauncher executes helper app and then closes so that helper app can overwrite UTLauncher

Agreed, Do this in the interim until a more automated solution can be perfected.
