What doesn't work?

Octodash hangs on a blank screen with a white cursor on the top left of the screen. Octopi itself runs ok, but Octodash will not run.

What did you already try?
Hardware - 2 different Raspberry pi 4
- 2 different Elecrow 5 inch displays
- 2 different 64GB Sandisk Micro SD cards
- 1 x Kingston 32GB Micro SD card.

I've tried various tutorials from youtube on how to set up octodash, following all the commands correctly with the same results from the inputted commands.

Everything installs correctly.

I've tried different dt overlays within the boot config.txt file, namely dtoverlay=ads7846 and dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-V3D

General Information:

  • OctoDash Version v2.3.1
  • OctoPrint Version 1.9.3 and also the new camera stack version

Additional context

I've tried to install octodash repeatedly for the last 3 days, but it always hangs on startup with a solid white cursor in the top left corner.

I've also tried various other methods such as disabling the sandbox, reinstalling an older version of Octodash and then installing rhe new one over the top of it. (forgive the bad terminology, I'm a Linux beginner).

I've made sure to use the standard user 'pi' albeit with my own password (unsure if this changes anything)

Would someone please be able to help wit this issue.

Thank you.
