Hello, this is the development/porting diary for this project!

This text file is meant to guide other project hackers to get started working on the Archie source code.

It's advised to use a UNIX OS for developemnt (Linux in my case), as it's easier and more in-line with the original target OS of Arche (SunOS, a UNIX vairant).

The original source code, along with other files (patches, backups, configs, modules) can be downloaded form the original host using the following command

`` alias gimmenetfolder='wget -r -np -R "index.html*"' ``

followed by;

`` gimmenetfolder https://files.serialport.org/archie/archie-3.5-beta/ ``

This alias will tell wget to download all files from the archive, without downloading the actual raw index pages or following links outside the host (files.serialport.org)

After running wget, your working tree should look like this
