HowTo Compile this Project

Is there a detailed explanation / step-by-step to get the firmware compiled using Visual Studio Code with the PlatformIO plugin ?
Have installed both utilities, Visual Studio Code and the PlatformIO plugin, but what's the next step ?

Looks like it only got to unzip 91% of the platform plugin?

Would try to delete C:\Users\Norbert.platformio and rebuild. Make sure you are not running out of diskspace.

Could also be that there are some issues with the tasmota version of the platform that makes it fail on windows. I have personally never tried this on windows environment.

It works for me, using Windows 11, this is my steps:
Installed "Visual studio code"
Installed "platformio plugin"
Installed "GIT"
Then i downloaded source code and open workspace from file if i remember right..
I have sucessfully compiled a modified firmware file

Maybe this isnt the right way but works for me :-)

Quick question related to this thread. Im building successfully for aesp32s2 target, but Im missing the boot_app0.bin in the build-folder. Do I need to build this separate somehow?

You do not need to build boot_app0.bin, it is always the same file (for a given type of ESP32).
Just copy it from one of the release zip files.

Just used another VM and it's working... seems to depend on the previous used (ESP) project.
