Consider moving reporting logic to API

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In #1395 I had to add similiar reports to existing ones, just for current state instead of over time. It might make sense to have some of this reporting logic built in the API using SQL, instead of downloading all of the transaction data every time. At the very least should consider de duplicating some of the code from that PR.
