There has been something in the VSCodium document saying that "Microsoft will still track usage by default". This is what I am specifically interested in and want more clarification. I would also like to look deeper into the privacy and telemetry concerns between VSCodium and VSCode.
Lets say that we have a clean install of VSCode with no extensions. When the user explicitly turns off every setting related to telemetry and online service, would the VSCode performs FUNCTIONALLY all the same with the VSCodium in the field of telemetry and network usage, or there is still some difference made by the VSCodium devs (except for the marketplace vs open-vsx setting)?
