And I don't need the pictures.

Inspect the settings in marker/settings.py. You can override any settings with environment variables.

I want to generate a page number number in the markdown. i.e. I set the PAGINATE_OUTPUT = true in the Windows environment variable but no horizontal rule is found. Did I miss anything?

Finally, we did it by setting the variable in the following command line. An output "----------------" is found in the md. If a page number can be generated in the coming software release, it reduce our programming effort greatly. 👍
