Hello, I have been trying to get riiconnect24 to work again after a few years. (PAL Region)

I have changed the DNS accordingly to the newer server with the DNS settings as follows:

Primary DNS: 167.235.229.036
Secondary DNS: 001.001.001.001

Upon initiating a connection test, it is successful, with the support code 61212. Then when I go to the agreement/contact, it loads up with the WiiLink24 EULA Last updated: 26th July 2024 and I click it and it works fine.

The forecast channel returns error code FORE00006 and while the news channel loads, it doesn't load any news articles.

I installed the WiiLink patcher (latest version) and it gives me this error message when I try to begin the installation on my SD card:

How do I fix this? Thanks

Hello, did you manage to get this to work? If not, can you try again on a different internet connection?

As for FORE00006, here's what you do (courtesy of the WiiLink Discord Server):

FORE/NEWS000006

Follow the instructions here to synchronise your time. After doing this, leave your console on the system menu for 30 minutes, then try again. If you still receive the error, try removing the clock battery (instructions ahead)

Fixing FORE000006 by Removing the Clock Battery

If you’re on a Wii, and using sntp as per these instructions hasn’t been successful in resolving your error, you should try removing the clock battery.

  1. Power off and unplug your Wii console.
  2. Remove the clock battery from the side of your console. It is stored within the flap as per the image attached to these instructions.
  3. Leave your console as-is for 2-3 hours.
  4. Reinsert the battery (this is a good opportunity to replace it, as the battery is likely to be almost dead with the age of the console. You can replace it with any standard CR2032 battery, which are commonly sold in stores.).
  5. Plug in and turn on your Wii.
  6. Head back to the Homebrew Channel to run sntp again.
  7. Return to the channel which was previously giving you the error, it should now be resolved!

And for News Channel, it's currently down right now, but it will be back up soon.

Hope this helps, and if you have any other issues with WiiLink, I recommend joining the WiiLink Discord server (linked above) and heading over to #support-text.
