As other teams have, we should have an "About us" section that explains about us and separates it from the "Get Involved" section that could be a section.

How do you think the Index should be separate from "About us"?

Basically going into more details on the About us?

It was a proposal at the Contributor Day. As they said, our Handbook is a bit different from the other ones, because usually it "talks to contributors" and ours talks "to hosters (and others)" so, it's more like documentation.

This is why they think we should have a "Who we are and what we do (as a Team)", then the "Get Involved" and finally the Handbook and Tests information/tutorials.

It was an idea, I think it's good. We can also add this "Who we are" at the index page.

What do you think about having something like this at the end of the home / index?

About us

The WordPress Hosting Team is a team of people who are related to the world of hosting, either working in companies that offer such services as system administrators, plugin developers and, in general, those who are concerned about improving the relationship between WordPress and the hosting where they are hosted.

Our goal is wide ranging, although it is primarily focused on publishing documentation about the best options and best practices hosters can apply when it comes to WordPress, as well as offering tools to help improve performance when new versions of WordPress and the different elements of its environment (such as PHP, the database or the web server) appear.

If you want to know more, feel free to take a look at our Get Involved section.

Related to WordPress#32, I took @javiercasares version, tried to rewrite it a bit to make it shorter and easier to read. Let me know what you think 🙏🏻
