I noticed that there are pre-defined 128 diagnosis labels, while the entire MIMIC data has ~6,xxx diagnosis. What is the rational for restricting to 128 pre-defined labels only, and why 128? I guess those are the most common diagnosis labels? I couldn't find this detail in the paper so am curious about this choice. Thank you!

diagnosis_labels = ['4019', '4280', '41401', '42731', '25000', '5849', '2724', '51881', '53081', '5990', '2720',

Have you by any chance found out why this happens?

Did any of you check if the rest are super rare cases or if they are defined in HCUP file?
