FIREFOX version NOT DETECTING youtube videos ***NOW WORKING UPDATE***

Firefox version not detecting youtube videos or youtube shorts. It was working roughly 2 weeks ago, able to detect and download shorts and videos.

Addon & CoApp version and details

Currently using Firefox version 134.0.2 (64 bit), with video downloadhelper

Version 9.1.2.0 (stable), target mozilla, locale en-US.

Companion App installed (v2.0.19) .

I cannot detect YOUTUBE videos and youtube shorts at all. Any example youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agRzeNZ6OGc even today still cannot be detected today.

Same exact situation here. All the same versions as romelussaladar, and no Youtube video is detected, at all - whether on youtube.com or embedded in another page.
I'm guessing YouTube has made a change to try to prevent downloads. Other sites I've tested, such as vimeo, seem to be downloading normally.
I've successfully downloaded from youtube as recently as 1/21, so this is quite recent. Hopefully the downloadhelper team will figure this out quickly!

I'm still getting the same issue with youtube, for the past 2 weeks, that no video is detected. None of the suggested updates or re-installing has made any difference. UK-based, using firefox.
Here's something very wierd. On another thread, a contibutor commented that videos were suddenly visible on youtube again, at last, and as proof he posted this link -

So I've tried the link and, yes, it works. And the video (a performance by country singer Lainey Wilson) downloads successfully. But since then I've searched for other material and this seems to be the only youtube video that is visible to vdh. Can anyone explain? I shall keep on investigating.....!

What do you mean Beta installed ??? I have a paid their donation... been using it for a while... BUT... only recently... maybe last 2 weeks.. on firefox, cant detect any current videos on youtube... MAYBE like the dude said earlier, another change was made with YOUTUBE... and a new work around can be done with the next update... we gotta keep passing this info here, so the guys can do a great job...

The link jcfrog gave went to another thread discussing this problem, and reading down that thread I eventually got to the post with the link to install the beta version.
The direct link to install the beta is https://www.downloadhelper.net/w/Beta-versions .
Go to that page in your Firefox browser, and you'll see a red button labeled "INSTALL BETA FOR FIREFOX." When I clicked that button, the new 9.3.0.0 beta version was installed, and now I'm able to download youtube videos again. Give it a try, hopefully it will work for you too!

OK... I downloaded the BETA version... however, what happens to the actual PREMIUM license that I originally paid for ? I noticed when I tested downloading the YOUTUBE video, it had the QR code still on it. I guess I just deal with this for now until they have a fix for the main videodownload helper ?

NEW VERSION for Firefox WORKING 9.3.0.1

I had to REMOVE the BETA VERSION from the FIREFOX EXTENSIONS... then I went back to DownloadHelper to DOWNLOAD the LATEST update for FireFox. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

ALL youtube videos NOW DETECTED and working well.

9.3.0.0 beta was working for most of last week (after a couple weeks of what I assume was a breaking update by Youtube), but this weekend I think YT rolled out some strict anti-bot stuff that made this and some other downloader sites and applications (and app embeds and other important integrations) stop working.

I upgraded to 9.3.0.1 (on the DownloadHelper plugin page, requiring uninstall as mentioned above - main thread is currently ahead of beta?) but it's still not working for any Youtube videos I've tried. I made sure to play it and cycle through the quality options as well.

I'm on Windows 10, Firefox v134.0.2, companion app v2.0.19.

Hm, now I'm back home and it seems to be working. I was experiencing the problem on a different device than usual, in a different place, on a different network, and any combination of those factors might've caused my issue.

Stop working on my PC....Windows 11 24H2: all of the suggestions above have not worked..
