Can't enter license key?

What's your issue?

Had to reinstall computer and browser.. I can't enter this so called 'lifetime' license key any more. I paste the code in under Settings and hit 'enter' and nothing.

ETA: I've found the issue .. on the short 'drop down' style settings, you cannot see 'Check license', so pressing return does nothing and it seems broken.

IF you enable the side-bar view then the settings panel is properly displayed and you can click 'check license' to be able to get it to work.

Pressing 'enter' after pasting the license key is what the instructions in the email I received (albeit 3 years ago) says to do, so that seems like something that needs to be fixed.

There is a link "Check license key" under the key field, you might have to scroll down a bit the panel.

I do not work for VDH. I'm just another user, unlike @jcfrog Jérôme. who does work for VDH.

You don't need to use the sidebar. You can continue to use the old-style VDH drop down menu. But . . .

With that setting enabled, the menu looks like this:

I strongly recommend you look at all the settings & evaluate each one for you situation. There may be some you want to change from their current settings.

Well that's the thing.. it is NOT obvious how to even 'scroll down' on the initial 'smaller dropdown' view of settings. Way to actually understand what I wrote.

Ah yes. Scroll bars. Microsoft, in their drive to make things look "modern," has made scroll bars rather unfriendly for the user. They're narrow & faint, hard to click on with the mouse. But there are registry tweaks that allow you to make scroll bars a little bit friendlier. Most scroll bars. Scroll bars in applications. Sadly, their own Settings dialog & other parts of the operating system are pathological & don't respond to the registry tweaks. How brilliant is that? There is a web site called https://www.elevenforum.com/ where you will find a truly impressive number of tutorials. There's one there on the subject of customizing scroll bars. I found it & applied its advice. You might do the same. You can see the effects of that registry tweak in my images above. As you can see, the scroll bars are quite usable. There is also an ancestor web site for Windows 10 & another for Windows 7. I imagine there is one for Windows 8 but I have never visited it. I am guessing that a little self-help on your part would greatly improve your situation.

Lol 'self help' .. wtf do you think I did in realizing it was a display/UI issue.

As usual, nothing but dickishness from so called programmers on here. I personally would welcome uninitiated user feedback on things that didn't seem to work very well but whatever. Delete the thread if you don't want feedback on your program.
